An Improved Dynamic Thermal Current Rating Model for PMU-Based Wide Area Measurement Framework for Reliability Analysis Utilizing Sensor Cloud System

Information technology expressively improves remote electricity measurement and monitoring. Integrating Dynamic Thermal Current Rating (DTCR) software packs with the exclusive phasor measurement-based Wide Area Measurement (WAM) framework, Transmission Lines (TLs) current rating can be measured. WAM is used for data acquisition from different sensors, also allows transmissions processing which sensor cloud system (SCS) plays a vital role. DTCR phasor-measurement based framework mainly to analyze determine ratings of overhead TLs using weather condition estimation or prediction methods. However, recent study suggests that accuracy has become an issue in smart grid Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB). Hence, this article studies discusses relevant models systems, then proposes improved thermal pi (π) model transmission line Framework. The performance π will distinguished existing model. factors bring substantial impact on considered, where monitored via sensors. Besides, focuses calibrating through system, as well field measured data. All collected detailed comparative analysis provided proposed sake improving reliability system. evaluated Matlab software-based numerical analysis.
